Computing Science is a member of the Faculty of Information and Mathematical Sciences

Computing Science Industrial Association (CSIA)

The Computing Science Industrial Association was formed in 1991 and is the keystone of the department's industrial liaison strategy. For a membership fee organisations can receive a range of services including graduate recruitment assistance, training and consultancy discounts, research reports and a seat on our Curriculum Advisory Board.

There is no doubt whatsoever that involvement in our departmental industry links continue to benefit our students both in terms of summer placements and permanent jobs. In recent years over half (66%) of the 3rd Year Software Engineering (SE3H) students who had placements got them with local CSIA members. and over the past seven years no less than 26% of our graduates are recruited by members of our own Computing Science Industrial Association.
