The University of Glasgow was founded in 1451, in Glasgow, Scotland. It is the fourth oldest university in the United Kingdom, and one of the UK's leading universities with an international reputation for its teaching and research. It is home to the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery, the oldest public meseum in Scotland.

The practical semantic astronomy workshop will take place on the historic Gilmorehill Campus of of the University of Glasgow. The workshop will be located in the Sir Alwyn Williams (SAW) building, the newly completed home of the Department of Computing Science (D16 on campus map).
