The group is regularly involved with many different conferences and we regularly hold workshops on our research. Conferences and workshops

The 5th International Conference on Auditory Display was held in Glasgow in November, 1998. Stephen Brewster and Alistair Edwards from York University were the co-chairs. The ICAD web site has more details.

The 1st International Workshop Human-Computer Interaction with Mobile Devices was held in Glasgow on 21-23 May, 1998.
The Group's work featured in an exhibition called the Human Factor at the Science Museum in London from March to August, 1999. Here are some photographs.
We were heavily involved in is Interact'99 in Edinburgh in August/September, 1999.
The 2nd International Workshop on Human-Computer Interaction with Mobile devices was held as part of the Interact'99 conference on 31/8/99.
Stephen Brewster and Julian Newman ran the Interactive Experience at Interact'99 in Edinburgh.
First International Workshop on Haptic Human-Computer Interaction, Glasgow 31/8-1/9 2000. The proceedings of this workshop were published by Springer.
A workshop on Resource Sensitive Mobile HCI was held at the Handheld and Ubiquitous Computing (HUC2K) conference in Bristol in September, 2000.
We held a series of workshops on haptics at the Accident and Emergency Medicine conference in Manchester 9-10 October, 2000. Here are the notes from the workshops.
The third international workshop on human-computer interaction with mobile devices was held at IHM-HCI2001 in Lille 10th September, 2001.
The group helped organise EuroHaptics 2002 in Edinburgh in July 2002.
Stephen Brewster and Mary Zajicek from Oxford Brookes organised a Workshop on HCI and Older Adults in September 2002 at BCS HCI2002.
Joy Goodman and Stephen Brewster organised an HCI and the Older Population workshop at the BCS HCI conference in Leeds in September 2004.
Mark Dunlop and Stephen Brewster organised MobileHCI 2004 on 13-16 September 2004 in Glasgow.
Steven Wall and Stephen Brewster ran a workshop on haptic visualisation at the ACM CHI 2005 conference in Portland, Oregon in April, 2005.
David McGookin and Stephen Brewster ran the First International Workshop on Haptic and Audio Interaction Design in Glasgow in August/September 2006.
Stephen Brewster and Jon Ritchie ran the Department of Computing Science's 50th anniversary celebrations in June 2007.
Ian Oakley and Stephen Brewster ran the Second International Workshop on Haptic and Audio Interaction Design in Seoul, Korea, 29-30 Novermber, 2007. Here are some photos.

CHI 2011: Performative Interactions in Public Spaces workshop. This workshop was organised by Lone Koefoed Hansen, Julie Rico, Giulio Jacucci, Stephen Brewster and Daniel Ashbrook.
HAID 2011 was held in Ritsumeikan University in Japan in August.
HAID 2012 was held at Lund University in Sweden.
